Your music, in your hands.

MusicX

A music player for the collection you've made your own.

Local listening. Connected when you choose. In development

Made for a personal library

Keep the music.
Make the experience yours.

Your albums, favorite tracks, and carefully built playlists deserve a place of their own. MusicX brings them together without making a streaming subscription the starting point.

A collection, not a feed.

Browse songs, albums, artists, and genres. Keep favorites close and build playlists around the music you already have.

Room for your sound.

Shape playback with an equalizer, follow lyrics, and manage what plays next. Personal accents bring your own character to the player.

More than one place.

Bring together local folders and supported cloud or network sources. Choose your playback preference without choosing away the rest of your library.

Stay with the music

Everything for
the next listen.

Playback, your queue, and audio controls stay within reach.

Pick up where you left off
Playback-state sync is designed to carry your queue and listening position between devices sharing a configured sync point.
Listen nearby
Apple mobile devices can control playback on a nearby Mac running MusicX. Local file transfer is separate from remote playback.
Your files stay yours
MusicX plays music you supply. It is not a music streaming catalog, and it does not include a subscription to one.

Features and device support are still being tested ahead of public release.

Connect on your terms

Wherever you keep your music.
