Pick up where you left off: Playback-state sync is designed to carry your queue and listening position between devices sharing a configured sync point.
Listen nearby: Apple mobile devices can control playback on a nearby Mac running MusicX. Local file transfer is separate from remote playback.
Your files stay yours: MusicX plays music you supply. It is not a music streaming catalog, and it does not include a subscription to one.
